Traktor Kontrol S4 Mk3: Level indication on the master channel

Hello,
I am using the Kontrol S4 MK3 with Traktor Pro 4.5.1.
When DJing, I have a problem where the master channel level isn't showing up. I initially thought the LEDs were faulty, but I could see the signal level after turning the master volume all the way up (see photo).
How do I fix this problem?

How are yours mIxer and Ozone configuration and you master level on the software?

It's fairly common TBH, not just something "broken" on the S4.

Either the master VU is taken from before the master volume (so the VU is not affected by the master vol) or it's taken after, which reflects the position of the master volume knob.

It's the same on Pioneer kit, Denon DJ kit, A&H Xone mixers….

In Settings > Mixer, ensure Apply Headroom to Channel Meters is enabled.
Then set your headroom to a level you are comfortable mixing at.
The Master VU meter is post master knob on the S4 Hardware (not the Traktor Software).
You can get your knob to unity, but make sure you are using a device in between the S4 and your amp/speakers to properly gain stage your master output.

You should compare it to other controllers, not external mixers.

I'm somewhat sure it's not like this on Pioneer controllers. At least not the entry level gear like DDJ-400 / FLX4.

But agree it's not broken.

I'm not just comparing it to external mixers. A&H was one example. I also didn't say it was like this on entry level gear. Besides, I wouldn't say the S4 is entry level - would you?
