Preparing beat grids on headphones only: how to hear the click?

I feel a bit stupid…

I'm trying to prepare tracks with just my laptop, I need to here the click for doing so. Clicking the little headphones icon, when the advanced panel is open and on Grid mode, I don't hear the click.

I thought OK, it must go through the monitoring channel, so I try to setup the monitoring channel output to my headphones in the preferences, doesn't help (and I discovered that there is no mode to have both monitoring and main output on same physical outputs, for that use case?)

So, how can I hear the click on my headphone while hearing the track, to set the beatgrid properly?

Ah, I do, the track's monitor swith has to be ON as well… sorry for the noise, I knew I was being thick :)

Only set up the monitor channel, cue the track and press the click icon.

I don't hear the click when clicking the click icon, in the monitor channel. Traktor 4.5.
