So, I bet no one at NI will do anything to protect their userbase against SCAM attempts.

I cannot tell if the scammer has hacked the site or if you can list all users and maybe also already have all passwords somehow.

The only thing I think you as a user can do is to either delete your account here or at the very least change in the settings so that either your email or username is not visible.

We've investigated and can confirm: these are fake accounts created on our online community to impersonate our forum admin team using misleading usernames. They do not have any actual access or permissions. Our real administrator community accounts are secure, and no admin systems were involved. This was the action of spam bots and we identified/removed the accounts involved.

they may have a username list with links etc as it’s likely a bot/agent was tasked with clicking into user profiles and sending a direct message with a link to some random website disguised as a google link (I didn’t open it but I’ll assume it is a spoof NI branded site with a form that asks for personal information).

Someone made new ordinary forum user accounts using bots and used these new ordinary user accounts to attempt scamming NI forum users. Even though the user names for accounts included the word Administrator then these were not Administrator accounts.

As far as I know then no real NI Admin or Mod accounts has been breached or used so no one have had access to any data that way.

If you have clicked any links or given any data to the scammers yourself then as Jeremy_NI writes then contact NI so that they can help.

I’ve just gotten (and promptly deleted) the iPad Air scam email that’s been going around. In another post I saw it should be reported but I’m not sure to whom or how. If an admin could chime in on reporting procedure I’d appreciate it.
