from the release notes:
"continued mixer view redesign work" its a work in progress i guess. are they waiting for community feedback? or whats the logic of doing this in steps…
IMO they really need to make more areas of the GUI resizable, so we can pull things around and adjust to our own preferences. All that blank space on the right, between channels and master… 😮
I didn't think they could make the mixer faders look any smaller and yet here we are..
Maybe someone at NI could shed some light on this design choice ?

Yes, it's a WIP, basically the mixer view will be updated in stages.

Great question, i personally never seen any pro software have an update cycle in tiny steps like Maschine does, It's hard to get exited about minuscule changes. I guess theres advantage's internally like dealing with less bug reports and issues at a time? Or maybe is to try to forcefully demonstrate to users that development is technically happening so Maschine doesen't look abandoned?
I'd love to hear developers chime in… especially non NI ones.
In this basic form it feels smaller due to the hilarious empty space but technically the meter box is exactly same size as before.
