multiple Maschine MK1 in Midimode?

I bought a second Maschine MK1 to create a second Remixdeck on Traktor. But one maschine freeze after connecting.(doesn`t matter which, it depends on the order)

What i can tell you is: I try everything with the power supply. Using a 2 Ampere hub and the internal USB Hub. Disconnect everything to be asured  that the power is enough. Change USB Cable. Firmware is the same.

Both machines working for itself in Midimode.

Ideas?

Humm… I never tried with the exact same device but I don't think that can work, Maschine is not class-compliant, it needs a driver handling the communication that translates things to MIDI that will probably get very confused by seeing two controllers with the same device-ID…

To add to this templates are not saved into the device, it's on the computer, so even if it worked they would both have the same layout… not very usefull. Im not 100% sure but I think only Maschine Jam supported  multi-midi devices.

I'd just get a Mk2, some people sell them for like 50$ nowadays, thats more likely to work but not 100% guaranteed. (meaning using one MK1 and one Mk2)

Or, if one of them is connected to Maschine SW you can use it's virtual output as it will be a different MIDI Port but the disadvantage is mapping will be awkward and of course Maschine Sw would need to be open.

I' m not 100 percent sure I can mark @D-One maybe he can confirm that you can use two maschines in midi mode at the same time if you have two different models.

I was afraid that there is no way to manage this. But if Mk1 and Mk2 working together in Midimode. That  would be something.
