Some Arturia previews missing

While this is going to be an Arturia problem, wondered if anyone else has experienced the lack of preview sounds on just a few of Arturias instruments.

I have the latest V collection and all have previews except the following 6 instruments

Arp 2600

Fafisa

Matrix 12

Modular

Solina

Vox

About 2 weeks ago I reformatted and re=installed everything on my Mac due to an unrelated problem, it just seems weird that I don't have these previews, the main one I want is the Arp

Anyone else experienced it and know a way around please?

Not entirely sure but it could possibly be this that you need to at least get the download (?) : I Cannot Find the Native Browser Preview Library for KOMPLETE KONTROL or MASCHINE

in case of download problems then try logging in into Google first, if that doesn't help then copy the download to own Google drive before the download.

For what it is worth then on my Windows 11 I have full pre-view sounds on all ARP 2600 that I tried as well as on all the other products that you mentions , on the other hand then I did not just install all my Arturia but had it installed a long time.

have you looked for them on your hdd ?

I did have a issue with minifreak , the presets would not load , telling me minifreak wasn’t installed, so I track down the location , and found that they were in another subfolder with the same name , so I moved them back a folder , problem solved

Thanks, can't find them on my hard drives, will re-install them and see if that helps. I have them showing the same as the pic PoorFellow posted, but silence.

Did you install the libraries into the standard location or have you told ASC to install to a different location like an external disk? I recall having problems with some Arturia stuff in NA if it wasn't installed to the default location.

All content is stored on my external SSD, VSTs etc in their default locations.

All the other instruments on my SSD, for example Acid V, are in the format,

Arturia, Acid V, Third Party, Native Instruments, Presets, Previews.

Previews being a hidden folder

There's no previews folders for the 6 missing ones, and I've tried searching my internal and external drives with no luck

I just moved everything to the default location and reinstalled Arp, still no previews

Now it errors if I try to move them back to the ssd, I'll leave them in the internal, they're not that big

@Ojustaboo When reinstalling the Arturia plug-ins, did you tick that little box?

Apparently some problems require that you remove old before re-install (?)

I completely removed all Arturia instruments, checked, removes a few remaining Arturia files then did a new install, making sure NKS and resources are ticked, even on a non silent install I didn't get the option of selecting Third party resources.

I uninstalled Arp, reinstalled on a non silent install and all I got was the option of where to install.

All of the V instruments reinstalled fine, including their Third Party Resources its just that for these 6, in their Native instruments/preset folder, the Preview directory is missing, it's in all the other instruments.

I did try resetting the database but as their preview directories are missing, it didn't work

This is a bit peculiar.

An examination of the problem reveals that all the items that you have problems with are items where on my computer there is only NKSF files but no OGG . The strange thing is that they still play the preview sounds on my computer even if the OGG library is missing. I don't know if there are OGG files for these other things that I have just not located elsewhere..

But :

This Mac user mentioning the Arp 2600 and the missing OGG (previews) claims that installing the NI Preview library helped him , so I thought that I'd mention that.

Otherwise then I found the following for you , however I do not have enough knowledge about Mac or the problem to understand if it is applicable.

P.S. Your install preview install issue could be related to this , and if it is then you might still need same workaround also if you try to use downloaded version !

Can not install Monark and other NI products , Fix by Sunborn .

Many many many thanks, you are an absolute star.

Downloading that iso and installing it works 100%, all previews now working.

For some reason the main installer said there was nothing to install but I ran each of the 6 parts separately instead.

You've made me a very happy man
