I have maschine plus and two midi control keyboards piping through USB into the desktop software for maschine on my M1 Max MacBook.
For the life of me with no AI solution, I find that I cannot get the sustain pedal to work at all. At some point in the past it worked with older software versions.
My two keyboard controllers are mk1 Kontrol S61 running in legacy midi mode due to not being supported by NI and an Arturia keystep mk1. No matter all the variations within the software to pipe a vst midi options i can never get the sustain pedal to work. It affects all VSTs which include Kontakt 8 and Arturia piano v3.
The sustain pedal works fine for arturia in standalone app, but on Kontakt 8 it comes and goes.
- I have to turn off velocity on Kontakt 8 in tools
- I have to go to edit mode of a specific Instrument click the wrench/gear settings —> instrument options —> Controller —> Midi Controller #64 (sustain pedal) acts as —> (here i try all three options sometimes it works sometimes it doesnt)
- its all very random sometimes unplugging the sustain pedal from the jack or running the supplied control editor softwares for each keyboard.
- Under options —> Handling —> midi channel assignment for loaded patches —> (here i try them all including using keep using midi channel from k1.x patches)
At this stage its become a system where there is no sustain option to me in maschine or NI standalone anymore for live playing and recording. Is anyone else having this problem?
