Hi all — I'm Andrey, one half of INTERAKTIV AUDIO (the other is Pierantonio, a producer and sound engineer). I'm a developer and DJ, and I want to introduce something we just released.
Interaktiv Tap is a multi-touch instrument for iPad. It started simple: I wanted to perform effects with my hands — continuous, two-handed, expressive — instead of tweaking one parameter at a time. It grew into a way to play my whole Traktor rig. The philosophy in one line: touch is the instrument, Traktor is the engine it drives today. Everything is built around performing a set, not configuring one.
What it drives — over a Traktor TSI mapping, roughly 1,200 assignments two-way, so the iPad reflects Traktor's state and changes flow in both directions:
A deck selector covering all four Traktor deck types:
- Track: hot cues, loops with size, key fader (free and semitone-locked), 4-band EQ with kills, filter + 4 selectable FX per deck, gain, volume, PFL, play/sync.
- Stem: everything in Track, plus per-stem filter (with kills), FX send (with kills), volume (with mutes), and PFL.
- Remix: the Stem set (minus hot cues), plus a sample-slot launcher with stops, punch-in per slot, and slot-page selection.
- Live Input: 4-band EQ with kills, filter + 4-slot FX, gain, volume, PFL.
FX: 4 independent units, each fed by sends from any of the four decks. Two slots of gesture automation per unit — record a movement and it loops, beat-synced. This is the part I'm most attached to: it's the difference between a static effect and one that keeps breathing while you do something else.
Things that matter once you're actually on stage:
- Freeze/Restore — capture the full app state, take any parameter wherever you want, restore the snapshot in one move.
- App Lock — disable all touch to wipe sweat off the screen mid-set without changing anything.
- Magnetic center faders you can slam for juggling; double-tap or two-finger tap to reset.
- Deck expansions — swipe a deck open for quick access to more controls.
- Master tempo and sync, plus audio loop recording.
Honest state of things: iPad only. It requires Traktor Pro 4 and connects over USB MIDI, shipping with the TSI mapping. One-time purchase, no subscription.
