Version Too Old" error on Electric Sunburst Deluxe (compatible with Kontakt 8.10.2?

Hi everyone,

I’m running into a "Your version of Kontakt is too old to load this file" error specifically with Session Guitarist: Electric Sunburst Deluxe, even though I am running Kontakt 8.10.2 (Standalone).

I have already performed a clean sweep of my database and registry, and I have confirmed that other libraries (like Icon Bass) load perfectly fine, so I know my Kontakt installation is healthy and correctly indexed.

It seems that the current version of Electric Sunburst I have installed has been updated to a requirement level that is incompatible with my setup. Since Native Access no longer provides legacy versions, I am looking for advice on how to source a compatible, older version (v1.0.0 or 1.1.0) of this library that does not enforce the stricter version check.

Does anyone have experience rolling back this specific library, or know how to maintain compatibility when a library update effectively "locks out" an otherwise functional Kontakt environment?

As the others here have told you then if you are truly running Kontakt as a standalone application then it sounds as if there is something inaccurate or wrong here.   It would sound more like if you are having more versions of Kontakt installed and the wrong version opening or if you were using Komplete Kontrol and that opened the wrong version of Kontakt.

I think that you should  keep looking into what is the actual problem here , but if you ever need such downloads then you can use Account downloads .   And procedure is to uninstall present version first then install the old version.

Is the error showing when running Kontakt standalone or in a DAW?  If it's just in the DAW then the DAW is probably picking up an older version of the Kontakt VST from somewhere. Check the version number in the About box.

This does not sound accurate.

I am running the very latest version of Kontakt and this library (also latest version) runs fine.
