With Komplete 26, NI changed its pricing structure to a tiered one: The older your version is, the more you will have to pay to stay current. This, however, also means that the newer your version is, the less you will have to pay to stay current.

What two values - exactly - are you comparing?
Are you see that tiny $149.00 in the lower left of that second screencap - and then seeing $299.00 whe ready tpo buy?
That $149 - is the lowest possible "update" price while your "loyalty" price of $299.00 could be for an older version of Komplete or an "upgrade" price.
You did not specific what - if any - Komplete bundle you are trying to move up from - so on the surface - this is correct.
