Logic not seeing Kontakt

Question

Thanks in advance, hopefully someone can help me.  To this point I have avoided using third party plugins, but I downloaded an acoustic guitar pak (with Kontakt) from Native Instruments.  I have downloaded it successfully (Kontakt and the guitar patches work as a standalone program) but when I scroll down in Logic all I see is Reaktor (another NI program I am not interested in using).  NI support is non-existent.  Tried pretty much everything I found on the net, hoping someone can guide me somewhere.  Ready to throw the computer out the window.

Ok, we'll need to have a deeper look in your setup, I see that you're already in contact with my colleagues from support, we'll follow up on that.

Hello;  Thank you so much for trying to help.  I have tried all these things without any success (and just did them again to be sure - I would add that the suggestion of clicking the "no I do not want to contribute box I am not able to click either box nothing happens).  I am wondering since I do not use Reaktor and do not intend to would deleting it be helpful?  I wouldn't think so normally, but I guess you never know.  I would also add that Kontakt seems to be fine as a standalone, I just can't get it to open through Logic.  Also, please note at no time am I getting any sort of error message.

Is the Kontakt AU plugin showing in this folder? Macintosh HD > Library > Audio > Plug-Ins > Components

Can you try these steps as well? https://support.native-instruments.com/hc/fr/articles/115004169849-Kontakt-Crashes This should reset the application and plug-in to default settings.

If even after that it's still not showing in Logic, maybe this could work. REmove the Kontakt 8 AU component from this folder Macintosh HD > Library > Audio > Plug-Ins > Components and put it to the trash.

Open Logic, close Logic, reinstall Kontakt 8.

Open Kontakt 8 in standalone, choose a coreaudio audio driver.

Open Logic and see if Kontakt 8 shows up.
