Why is there no DAW integration for Reason (14) with Kontrol S-Series

I really like the stuff I've seen from the Kontrol S-Series MK3 and want to get one. But I'm sad to have found out the there is no official integration for Reason. I hope this would come in time but so far I haven't seen anything yet, why is this the case ?

Historically Reason has always had a close association and fairly good integration with Nektar (although I note this is still referring to Reason 9.5 so I am not sure about Reason 14)

So they probably haven't really pursued other controller relationships to the same degree. The third party integration we do have works ok but is not as deep as that in Bitwig, Live, Logic or Cubase.

I wouldn't knock third party integration though - for example the Bitwig Native integration is probably the best of the bunch but even so there is still a better third party option - DrivenbyMoss (that also opens the same level of integration up for Reaper)

If I were to guess - it would be a combo of lack of market share, long standing code challenges (the legacy "Remote" mapping system) and (I believe) a lack of MPE capabilities - it all adds up.

Reason is simply not on the same level (or as easy to work with) as Logic Pro, Cubase, Studio One etc when it comes to building and managing the integration to the S-Series.

They support what they choose to support.
