First of all make sure you're giving the keyboard power directly through the second power only USB-c port. If yes then I think midi should theoretically work, if no then you could try using a USB-c to USB 2.0 cable into a USB hub into the iPad. If the USB controller on the iPad is not playing nicely with the USB controller on the mk3 then an intermediate hub can often help with this.

The browser/plugin/DAW mode would not work but at least you could use the keybed and create some midi templates.
