Is it possible to adjust the pre-listen volume in the Absynth 6 Stand Alone Browser?
Hello,
in Absynth 6, there is no dedicated "Preview Volume" slider within the browser itself. The audition feature is designed to give you a quick snapshot of the sound, and its volume is generally tied to the global output of the standalone application.
However, you can manage the levels and the audition behavior using the following steps:
The pre-listen volume is directly influenced by the Master Volume slider at the top of the Absynth interface. If your previews are too loud or too quiet, adjusting this will affect the audition level, though it will also change the volume of the preset once it is fully loaded.
In the new nodal Browser (the "Preset Explorer"), you have a few controls over how these previews behave, such as the Audition Toggle: Located at the top of the browser. When enabled, clicking a "node" (preset dot) once will play the preview.
Ok, Thank you, Sunborn, for your kind explanation. And I'm glad to have met you in the new NI environment. When we press the "Audition" toggle, does Absynth reference an audio file for preview, similar to Komplete Kontrol Software?
Yes it works the same way - which is why the previews I made for all Absynth 5 sounds for Komplete Kontrol now also work in the Absynth 6 browser
