Hello community,
with the recent inMusic merger I developed a clear vision that could take the entire ecosystem to the next level: the Maschine iM.
Imagine an enhanced, slightly larger MPC XL (approx. 60 cm wide with a much bigger 13” tilting display). It keeps everything you already love about the XL – and adds exactly the features many producers have been missing:
• Beat Mode: The familiar, intuitive workflow with 16 pads, sampling, recording and idea capturing.
• One press on “Arrange/Mix” transforms the entire unit: The 16 main potis become motorized potis for channel control (volume, pan, sends etc.).
• The additional encoders (already very useful in Beat Mode) intelligently switch and control the parameters of the currently opened plugin – with LED rings, precise value display (ratio, threshold, attack etc.) and the original plugin GUI on the big screen. In Beat Mode the same encoders handle other tasks (sample parameters, FX, modulation etc.), giving the hardware a consistently excellent hands-on feel.
You can then freely switch between Arrange View and Mixer View:
• Arrange View with full DAW tools (cut, copy, paste, fades, automation etc. – like Logic Pro).
• Mixer View with real professional channel strips like in Logic Pro or UAD Luna.
Plus smart built-in AI that can either create a complete arrangement suggestion with fitting effects or deliver clean stems as plug & play. Deep integration of the full inMusic ecosystem (iZotope RX, Neutron, Plugin Alliance, Brainworx etc.) directly on the hardware – including a high-quality digital transformer summing emulation for that warm analog glue on the outputs.
Mains-powered only for maximum performance – the true one-box solution from first idea to finished, warm-sounding mix.
I’m convinced: Once you’ve held this in your hands, you won’t want to go back. This wouldn’t just be a new machine – this would be a real gamechanger.
What do you think? Would you buy this immediately?
Best regards
