Window opens huge in Cubase 15 Pro

Hello, With Nectar 4 and Ozone 12 Adv this is NO problem, but everytime i open Neutron 5 Adv, the window opens bigger then my pc-monitor. Not easy to bring it down to a normal size. I had this before, in Neutron 4, on my previous pc, on a previous monitor. I reported it the to customer service. Their advice resulted in a usefull opening window size for Neutron 4, but bad for all others. So that did Not work. I am amazed that this problem occurs, while my other Izotope plugins don't show it. I am also amazed that this problem is still not solved.

Izotope products are designed specifically for a screen resolution of 1920x1080 and a Windows scaling ratio of exactly 100%.

If you have altered either of these you will see issues like you are reporting.

Why do I have only the problem with Neutron 5? Not with Ozone 11 Advanced. Not with Nectar 4 adv. Not with TBC… Not with VocalSynth, etc. etc. All Izotope plugins. There must be something else!!

That would be something for iZotope Support to look into.

What resolution are your running? And it's it's not 1920x1080 - can you switch to that reso and test?

FWIW - I am running standard HD (1920x1080) and Neutron 5 appears normally - along with all my other iZotope stuff.

Thanks for your responses. My settings are not the problem. Tried already different options. Even at different pc's and monitors. So i agree: iZotope should fix this. It is a bug. There is no other conclusion possible based on my findings here.

Well - for it to "become" a "bug" - you will need to report it.

They will need to get your stats and test - before declaring this a "bug"

Izotope Technical Support is not lurking in the shadows out here….

And - how would I call it? At this stage - I would call it an "issue".

Until support can confirm exactly why you are seeing - what you are seeing - or if it ends up being something you are doing, or some video card you are using or anything that is unique to your machine environment but not standard to the general populace - that does not automatically make this a bug.

Also - you haven't actually told us what resolution (and Windows scaling) you are using. That would be a big help.

For something to be declared a 'bug' it will have to be confirmed as being a bug that happens when NI test on similar setup as you report. And as VocalPoint points out then NI would need to have all relevant information.

Alas then I only got Cubase 14 Pro , and also I don't know how you have added Neutron 5 or what Neutron 5 part you added , and you very clearly refer to Neutron 5 Adv and frankly then while it appear that some sites on the internet appear to sell something called Neutron 5 -advanced then I am not even sure that it is called other than Neutron 5 as it is sold by iZotope - no advanced to see or get there. (Nectar comes as 'Advanced' and so does Ozone).

Anyway then I have tried to open Neutron 5 on my Windows 11 inside Cubase 14 as an FX and that produces no problem at all.

So please , as already asked indirectly and directly by VocalPoint : tell us what resolution and Windows scaling you are using !?

Okay, so you guys want the juicy details :) Concerning the versions: I have the top versions of Neutron 5, Nectar 4 and Ozone 11, that is what I meant, I don't know all the exact version names just by head, but i will be more explicit next time.

My main monitor is 2560x1080. I know it is a relevant aspect. I already gave notice to Izotope Support some time ago, when i was still at Neutron 4 and my previous hardware, and they told me.

But anyway: Nectar 4 and Ozone 11 (all plugins and motherships) and all my other Izotope plugins do Not have that problem. For me, that is the bottom line.

We still have not been told the Windows scaling setting ? What is your 'Scale' ?

I am using a 2560X1440 screen myself with no problem with Neutron 5 even with a scaling of %175

Perhaps the issue is with the aspect ratio vs scaling and resolution also ?

Or perhaps the "My main monitor" is something that should be noticed (?) , are you using a multi-monitor environment that could possibly influence your experience ? Sometimes then using more monitors can make Windows do strange things ! Are you or have you by any chance been moving plugins/applications from one screen to another ?

I also use 175%. And yes, I have a second display, to wich my windows-workdesk is extended. I use the cubase mains window(s) (tracks, mixer, midi-editors etc.) only in the main monitor, but the second monitor I use to place plugins on, the marker window. When I open a vst(i) it almost always opens in my main window. I tested different settings back when i got the answer from Izotope support. Then Neutron opened okay, but I could not get other things to my liking. So i set my stettings back to before and try to live with this issue…

Making more sense now that you have told us about a dual monitor scenario - which can make these kinds of issues even more touchy.

However - if Neutron 5 worked fine with whatever iZoTope support gave you - then that is the solution.

If switching back to whatever settings are "to your liking" and the problem resurfaces - the problem is your settings.

And , out of curiosity , then what is scaling and resolution for the second monitor ? Anyway , it can still be a dual monitor issue , not saying for sure that it is , just naming it as a possible cause.

Thank you all. I cannot ignore the fact that only Neutron has this issue as described and my other Izotope plugins don't. So there can only be one conclusion: It is not my setup, nor me. So I would like to leave it at this. Nevertheless: Thanks again!
