I know this has been requested many times prior, but, I am going to ask for it as well…
I've been using Traktor since version 1. And across all those years I though… yeah 64 bar loops will be added at some point. I mean really, it shouldn't be too difficult to do I would think. Anyway, so for 26+ years… no 64 bar loops.
People say things like, 'Why do you need more than 32 bar loops?' Well, a lot of EDM/Trance/Techno/Progressive and Deep house DJ's would love it. They tend to use long build up, long breaks, and generally long songs. I mean when you are playing songs that are 8 or 9+ mins before mixing… yeah, you want a few 64 bar loops. Many tracks in these genres are built on 64's as the structure as well.
Then people say, 'You can use IN and OUT (no burger pun there) and save to a hot cue and press this button and then do this and so on…' Precisely why you just want a 64 bar loop option… press one thing and BAM! 64 bar loop established. I could counter back with 'Well, why do you need any loop buttons then? Just press IN n OUT and save to a hot cue for every loop length. Just get rid of loop size buttons altogether since that seems to be the solution.'
Yeah, I get that some existing hardware might not work with it, fine. But can we have it in the software?
I don't think I'm asking for too much. Maybe there is a backward compatibility issue here or something. I don't know.
But if it is possible, please add 64 bar loops already. Thank you.
