Mix mode on the S61 Mk2's displays stopped working when MIDI 2.0 was introduced

Hello,

I’m using Cubase 15 on Windows 11 with a Native Instruments Komplete S61 MK2 keyboard, which only supports MIDI 1.0. Since the Windows 11 update with MIDI 2.0 support, the S61 has largely continued to work, but there is a problem with the mixer display. The channel level meters on the S61 display normally show the value sent by Cubase. However, the level meters are now ‘flickering’ excessively, i.e. the levels are switching very quickly and irregularly between zero and the (presumably) correct value, and this behaviour differs between the right and left channels. Has anyone else had the same problem? Is there a way to solve it?

Hey @RaCub We see more and more reports. It seems that a lot of MIDI devices are affected, not only ours. Not sure yet whose responsibility it is but there seems to be an open communication with Microsoft.  I've also reached out to the Komplete Kontrol team about it. Will get back with more information as soon as we get it. Until then, we would recommend the workaround shown by @mykejb.  Sorry if communication from support was confusing.

I've seen quite a few posts across various forums that the MIDI 2 update for Windows 11 has messed up working software for various MIDI devices. The general recommendation is to uninstall the update until MIDI 2 becomes more stable.
