Hi all, i just bought a second-hand 15 year old soundcard! I guess this is a testament to either the longetivity of oldskool NI Traktor products, and/or the lack of decent current alternatives for digital DJs ;)
My trusty old Audio4DJ soundcard does not work anymore with my new Macbook Air M4 because it's not Class Compliant. The hardware is still going strong, but compatibility holds it back from doing it's thing with todays current hardware.
I was looking around for an alternative, and it seems that there a few, but only the Reloop Flux series seem to be aimed at digital DJ's (as in cinch outputs) and have a modern spec.
This made me look around at secondhand market alternatives, and indeed, the NI Audio6 turns out to be class compliant. I could find a decent one for 60 euros, and now I'm happy to get an Audio4DJ replacement that can also work with the new generation of hardware.
Just some rambling from my side, but I thought it was interesting and entertaining to see that 15year old hardware still has it's place in todays market! :)
