Traktor Control S2 (mk1) on With Traktor Play / Pro 4 on Apple Silicon

Hello,

I just received an old Traktor ControlS2 (original version) and I want to use is on a Mac M4 / macOS 26.x

* Will Traktor Play / Traktor Pro 4 work with this device ?

The device is recognised by macOS. I can see it in the sound  section and the MIDI app.

* before putting $50 on Play or even more on Pro, is there a trial download available ? (I couldn't find one)

I know people who still use s2 mk1 with modern mac os and apple silicon.

Play is very very limited with what device work with it.

I know there is a pro demo somewhere. Maybe just opening up native access?

It says that Traktor S2 (original) is not compatible with macOS 26

And the FAQ says

"Please note that macOS 10.15 terminated the operability of some NI legacy hardware. The same applies to macOS 11 (Big Sur) and macOS 12 (Monterey). This includes Maschine Mk1, Maschine Mikro Mk1, Traktor Audio 2 / 4 / 8, and DJ, Traktor Audio 2 Mk1 and Traktor S2 / S4 / X1 MK1."

So it looks like I have no pton but to sell it

Why Traktor Pro will recognize it differently than Play ? Either it's visible from macOS without drivers, wither not.

I can't find a demo version of Traktor Pro. The only option is to buy it.  Do you have a link ?
