External HD?

I had K on my other computer, connected to an external HD. I want to set this up on my new computer. The HD connects but I don't know how to get K to find the files. Also, I don't have K installed on this computer, yet. There used to be a free version. Is that the one I want, or should I download a different one?

Need more info to be able to help.

You will need Native Access (Correctly configured to install your "content" to your external drive) on this new machine to be able to get anything on it - including Kontakt Player if that's your thing.

This is the start point for everything.

Hey Dons, just to echo what Vocalpoint has said, on your new system you need to install Native Access:

Then you need to log in with your NI account credentials.

From there you will need to reinstall Kontakt on your new system. Kontakt 8 Player comes as standard, I'd recommend to install that version.

If you have NI content stored on your external drive, you can follow these steps to relocate it in Native Access:

If you were using any other third party libraries you'll have to follow these steps:

For best results, your external drive should be formatted the same as your operating system's native format.
