Anytime you re-install Ableton to correct some issue that requires it. The custom midi scripts resets and you have to go through the process of putting those files back into Ableton's app by right clicking and choosing show package contents and adding your backed up midi script files to the apporpriate directory.
I explain this as an example although not exactly the same. my current problem is that the vst2 folder disappeared from MacOS's file system right after I updated to Sequoia. well not exactly. Although I understand vst2 is no longer being supported by MacOS the folder was not deleted until I re-installed Ableton. So, because my original Ableton installation somehow had a link with the vst2 folder that kept the vst2 folder locked and not deleted from MacOS. Unfortunately I needed to reinstall Ableton. After I did that whatever link Ableton had with the vst2 folder was severed much like the scripts in the above explanation. Then the folder was completely deleted from the MacOS' file system.
figured I'd explain what happened so that others may understand why some people's vst2 folders disappeared and others continue to have it.
anyway, my question is for those that have the vst2 folder intact in their MacOS file system. Can you please share a copy of Maschine2.vst2 plugin? So that I can place it in a custom vst2 folder to scan with Ableton to see if I can regain a few projects that are unaccessible without it.
