Session Percussionist Causes Audio for DAW to stop/mute

Question

I have had a very difficult time with Session Percussionist. Some days it works without issue. Other days, the moment before the sound is about to be triggered via MIDI, the entire audio output of my DAW goes silent. If I press stop, a few moments later the sound comes back. Start playback again, and the same thing happens. If I disable the audio channel that Session Percussionist is routed to, everything is fine. There is something CRAZY going on inside Session Percussionist and I can't figure it out!

I usually host all of my VI's in VEPro and route them back to DIgital Performer via Aux Tracks.

Today, wile troubleshooting, I decided to host Session Percussionist in Digital Performer and thus taking VEPro out of the equation. I have the same problem!!

Why does this happen?

Why does this happen only sometimes? I can sometimes work with Session Percussionist for an entire day and no issue. Then other days, it's barely usable.

Have you taken any of these issues to Motu Support? Or VEPro Support? Or are you just assuming that because it's Session Percussionist - it's automatically an NI issue?

What about your audio interface? What are you using?

Respectfully - you have a lot going on here (vs someone who would use this instrument in a more basic fashion) and I think it's important to remember that your thread - is the only thread I can recall in over a year (or more) that brings this up.

This is not to speculate that your issue is not legit - only to point out that your issue is rare. So rare that it is fair to say that your specific DAW/virtual instrument layout most likely has a role in this.

If this was a rampant issue with this product - certainly more reports should have come in.

I would check with MOTU support first, VEPro support second and then NI support third - as this issue is not something that could be solved here in the forums.
