Windows security updates f... up Tempo fader in Traktor 4

The latest Win security updates e.g. KB 5079473 make Traktor behave like described in detail here:

Traktor Pro 4 / Denon MC6000 MK1 tempo fader glitch

The Temp fader jumps to max as soon as it is touched. Is this a known issue that will be resolved? Because my only chance to use Traktor normally is to cancel and uninstall the Win updates.

It might help to restart the new Windows MIDI service (midisrv) after logging in to Windows 11.

You can disable MIDI 2.0 from within the latest VirtualDJ (early access b9245) and solve your MIDI woes.

Hi,

the ViVeTool discussed in the following VirtualDJ forum solve the problem for me.

As i understand it right, the tool disabled the new midi service from microsoft. After that the system will use the older version again. After a system restart, Traktors / denons tempo fader works like a charme again. ;-)

Maybe just until the next Microsoft update... who knows

However, I haven't found any way to reactivate the new MIDI service if necessary...

@ReneD you can also reactivate using the option in VDJ as mentioned. Tick or untick then reboot.

You don't need to USE VirtualDJ - just install it to alllow switching the MIDI 2.0 off/on.
