Lost playlists

I updated traktor to the most recent version and after updating, I have lost some playlists and tracks. I went in to use the backup and the playlists were also not there. How would one go about recovering the playlists or am I just going to have to do it manually? This is quite concerning with updates. If it's asking you to import all previous playlists and it doesn't do it, why would one upgrade the software. This is quite cumbersome at this point.

None of my settings are the same either. The layout of the tracks is different and not in the same places such as bpms and artists and track names

what do you mean with the backup? The Traktor backup folder with older versions? A Time Machine backup? Any other kind of backup? What was the previous version you have been updating from?

If the playlists are missing in your backup they most likely were gone before the Traktor update. With importing the settings and collection from the older version Traktor creates a new folder with these files and copies the old files over. The old files shouldn't be changed in this process. For me this always worked - except I made a mistake like not click yes if prompted to import the old stuff.

What happens if you start the old 4.4.1 Traktor in /Applications/Native Instruments/Traktor Pro 4/Backup? Are the playlists still present in 4.4.1? If yes you can try to delete the 4.4.2 settings folder in ~/Documents/Native Instruments. After that restart Traktor and import the old files again.

The playlist and imported tracks were removed from the playlist area. When I used the newest 4.4.2 they did not show up. When I attempted to open the 4.4.1 the files showed the same as the updated version.
