Good morning,

Something very wrong happened last weekend.

I don't know why, but the pre-listening was going to the master output and to the disco speakers. After selecting the song for the deck, with the deck fader all the way down, even a simple press of the hotcue pad to position the song where I wanted, I could hear the sound, and when I pre-listened, the sound was going to the dance floor.

I had only connected the Master to the Traktor S4Mk3 via XLR, the Booth via Jack, and the USB Type-C cable to the Mac.

Before this session, I was changing some settings to figure out how to use the mic on the front or back of the S4Mk3. I had a lot of difficulty because, no matter how many changes I made, the mic sound wouldn't go to the Master, until I discovered that the problem was with the "Mic" symbol (in the taskbar next to the clock) on macOS.

How can I send the pre-listening sound to the Master output?

I'm using Traktor Pro 4.4.2.158 on a 2019 MacBook Pro with an Intel i7 2.6GHz processor, 16GB of RAM, and macOS Tahoe 26.3.

Thank you @lord-carlos, you are correct.

In the output routing, I had the deck settings filled in under "External" as shown in the image.

I thought it wouldn't affect anything because I had selected "Internal" as the Mixing Mode in Output Routing, and since we can only choose to be in "Internal" or "External," I thought one wouldn't affect the other.

So I left the normal settings in "Internal," that is, in "Output Monitor for Headphone L and R" and in "Output Master for Main/Booth L and R," and removed all the settings I had in "External."

Everything is working fine now.

Why would you want to know how to send cue to the master, if you already have the cue signal going to the master? 🤔

I suggest you follow the manual or a getting started guide, to reset things back to default.

Show us a screenshot of your "Audio setup" and "output routing" settings, while the s4 is connected.

You probably messed something up with the output routing.

Glad it worked.

"External" settings don't affects you IF you click back to internal mixing mode again ;-)

But that's what I thought, if "External" was configured, and if I was in "Internal" it wouldn't affect the session, but that doesn't happen, at least not in my case. If I have settings applied in "External," they override the Internal settings.

It's strange that this happens, but that's what happens to me. I have to remove the settings from "External" to work normally in "Internal."

Maybe it's a bug in TP4 in this latest version 4.4.2,158
