Upgrading M+ OS to Maschine 3 - was it worth it?

I'm still sitting on the fence regarding upgrade M+ from Maschine 2 to Maschine 3. I'm not sure i'm craving for any of the new implemented features, my main concerns are stability, performance and bugfixes. From reading the forum i've got an impression that the new OS is slightly more CPU-heavy. Is this really true? What about stability - is it more or less the same, or maybe better? Do you have projects which are impossible to play after upgrade due to increased CPU usage? Was any bugs from many reported fixed? Latency while M+ used as external sound module via midi - is it different in comparison with previous version? Is it now better/worse/stable/fluctuating when several groups over several midi channels are utilized?

I'm really considering upgrading M+ (maybe while its still possible) but i would strongly dislike paying to get a less stable and the same or even more buggy OS.

Now that enough time has passed since release, it’s possible to form an informed opinion about it. Please share your experience

Most of those questions will be different based on how you work, what stuff you use etc…

Maybe make a test project the way you ussually do, zip, upload and people can report the usage so you can compare.

I dont use standalone much to give valid feedback, but I don't mind testing a project for you if it helps.

what D-One said – i think its workflow dependent.

for me, "scene tempo" alone was worth upgrading from 2 to 3.
like the last version of 2, the new 3.0 is a very stable OS, although like you said, a bit more CPU heavy and slightly slower then the previous version. some projects are slightly more CPU intensive.

if you tend to work with projects already hitting the 80% CPU limit, i would say hold off and stay with 2.0.

otherwise, there are some nice new FX and instruments available.
and i dindt had a sigle crash so far…
