New plugin detection in KK

Hello, hoping someone give answers here. After daiy using it a while ago, I'm now a bit rusty about Komplete Control these days, so I feel a bit lost.

A VST3 synth plugin, modern, recent is not detected in KK.
First: it's not NKS, but it should at last be detected, right ?

Then: in fact, it's detected, I see it in KK Settings/Plugins

But it does not appear in the Browser User section (nor Factory but seems normal). I checked in every category, beginning with Synthesizers obviously, the Others then all. Looked in Vendors too.

The idea would be to make a NKS template for it

Any help appreciated

PS : should I update to v3 ? Owning S49 mk2. I did not update because there was something with User banks or tags that was not working in v3. Still ?

If the plugin is not NKS supported, it appears in the plugin menu if scanned but of course will not appear in the NKS browser if there is no NKS library or at least a template to add it.

You can create your own simple template by loading the plugin manually from the plugin menu then opening the control template editor at the top of the window and learning and labelling the controls, save it then it will appear in the USER browser (remember to switch between Factory and User to see your own templates)

The issue with banks in KK V3 is FINALLY resolved after a few years of nagging however the jury is still out if the new software is of any improvement to workflow especially for MK2 users who can choose between V2 and V3 of the software. The biggest problem is the fact the preset browser as many will say is a major downgrade and displays a small list of presets with truncated names but even worse, cannot show the list of presets while also showing the plugin as you have to switch between browse and view screens or rely purely on your keyboard for browsing which anyone who has actually used KK over the years would know, browsing on the keyboard is cool sometimes but much slower to navigate and find sounds than simply using mouse and keyboard page / arrow keys so depends what workflow you are use to.

I personally still use v2.9 but now banks are fixed I am less inclined to suggest others stay with it as it now comes down to personal choice however KK V3 does address other issues such as the fact many VST3 plugins fail to show the GUI when used in KK v2 within Ableton Live which has been fixed in v3 of KK so there are more valid reasons for someone to update than to stay with v2 now.

I've reached out to the developer to see what they say.
