Kore 3

We need a Kore 3 release, it could be mostly like Kore 2 but with support for VST3 and CLAP. If you have to pick just one, go with CLAP. Yes, Native Instruments, we know you've already told us Kore is dead and you'll never bring it back. But VST2 itself is dying, it might become unavailable to DAW's, so what we're going to need from you is updates to all the old software so it runs in CLAP. Your company is having money problems, it would be fiscally smart to update the older versions of the products that you killed off. You don't have to build a hardware interface for Kore, it was useful as software alone. Kore would also be perfect for AI powered tagging of preset characteristics. We also need Pro-53 and B4ii updated to CLAP as well.

It's a fantastic fantasy. Kore 2 was already streets ahead of anything NI have offered since. It already functioned as a preset librarian and controller, like Komplete Kontrol but had the ability to import presets as well as preview everything (it did not rely on pre recorded audio clips for previews).

But its real strength was in functioning as a multi instrument and effects unit and performance tool - with sophisticated morphing between patch variations. If it loaded modern plugin formats and ran well on Silicon Macs I would still have it installed but sadly had to let go of it on my main computer - although I still have it on an older laptop, unfortunately it just won't play many of my favourite plugins as they no longer come out in VST2.

I'd love a Kore3, but can't see it ever happening unfortunately. I think the closest you'll get is Komplete Kontrol, which I guess is like a very severely dumbed down Kore. There are similar products like Blue Cat's Patchwork, but they're not quite as nice and don't have the controller.

NI no longer has that kind of talent in their team or vision for that kind of dream and to be real, wont see any updates for the few users still holding on. Been long "dead" and if they can't even maintain updates for the MK1 KK Keyboard they wont go back another 10 years.

You can use VST3 with KK 2.9.6 as wrapper AND have polyphonic and multi timbral sequenced sounds using timeline , clips triggered by keyboard or both with MULAB plugin by doing a template exclusively in MIDI without any audio . Also you can use audio loop player with KK triggered by the kore midi player using "looptrack" feature . Kore is not so dead . The limitation is the single thread working of kore.

Waves StudioRack is another free alternative to Kore, again without the controller. The trouble with all these Kore posts is it makes me want to install it again and play around!!

Well Kore doesn't like installing on Tahoe unfortunately so controller finally ended up on eBay! At least I now have room for some more hardware :)
