Hi guys, I'm writing this little rant because, while I understand the difficult times we're going through, I'd like to understand why Traktor lags so far behind the competition, even in simple things. For example, all software allows you to change the color of the various hotcues; in Traktor, they're only blue. The other colors are intended for other functions, but if I want to set cues of different colors, I can't. Just as I can't see a note related to that cue point, where perhaps I could add a suggestion like "beatjump32" to understand how to do that specific thing.
Let's move on...it's 2026, and I can't sort my playlists the way I want, where even if I want to put all the folders with Reggetton or Pop at the top of the playlists, I can't, because Traktor in 2026 still sorts everything alphabetically and doesn't allow changes. Really? Will I be able to manage my stuff the way I want?
Let's talk about effects? 15 years ago, it was the best. Today? Have you ever seen the reverb out of other software compared to the reverb freeze offered by Traktor? It's crazy shit, but why aren't we keeping up with the times?
I don't want to rub salt in the wound, but with real-time Steam, flexible real-time beatgrids, and Spotify or Apple Music integration, we're in 2026! Then some people are surprised that the competition is moving at twice the speed, and Traktor is in crisis, but if we remain anchored only to updates with graphical improvements or to having added Ozone, well, we're really at the end of our tether.... If Traktor only wants to keep a small segment of users, who perhaps play a very specific genre, and who have no interest in a 360-degree development of current improvements, it should officially declare it, and the majority of DJs who play everything, will know that to be put in a position to work well, they will have to migrate to Serato, DJPro, Virtual DJ or that crap Rekordbox, which however, as of today, is even superior to Traktor...
