linking Pads in diffent groups / also midi ext (edrum) / midi mapping (learn) / midi mode manual-dru

hey

i got edrum and midi drum sampler, together works good. also i got 2 differnet drum-groups with internal sounds, also works fine with edrum .

also i managed to work different groups over edrum (midi sampler-group and internal sound-group.

but now i also would like to trigger the midi ext sampler in group A1 with the pad of internal-sound in group C3.

Maybe you know a trick??? please help, i am very interested.

………………………………..Another thing: is there a way to midi learn the notes for the internal drum samples, in midi mode "manual", from edrum? ………………………………is there a nice way that i have the same midi cc for notes, edrum and even sampler?midi sampler is fixed cc so i have to configure edrum (thats okay).but how do i get the right start note for the groups of internal drum sounds.in midi mode "manual" should not be that big problem, but what about midi mode "drumkit", or even all the same time???well, maybe there are easier ways to handle that by copy and paste or a lot of doing by using it in more steps, but i would like to know the tricks and the understanding of the programming maschine.i am looking forward for aour nice helpful post with excitment.yoursfelix

you are likely wanting a transformer plugin/application…

ie. transform note x ——> note y

or note x ——> cc y etc etc

or vice versa, that way you dont need to mess around with conversions manually

this would require having applications running externally….

Maschine ——> transforming app——>edrum

Edrum——>transforming app——>Maschine

so in essence you would want a application that can take a range of notes, and convert it to what is needed for the end device to recognise it…

the best application which is suited to this scenario in my view, would be Bomes midi translator Pro, the application will require some logic programming to make best use of the application for your use case, but Steve over at the Bomes forums, is very helpful & a great source of information

beyond Bomes, there is Reaper that has JS plugins that can be used as transformers & could do what you are seeking, but will still require quite a bit of time tinkering and setting up

Personally i would download the Reaper DAW …as the trial is free & has unlimited time with nothing disabled, and you can fully utilise it… download all the scripts & JS plugins from Reapack or from the reaper stash, Reaper operates on "user trust"…. if you use it & like it, they trust you will buy it

the Macro stuff in maschine is more geared toward, "mapping" plugin parameters, and organising the plugin parameters…. so that you have them easily accessible and in the order you want them,

instead of flipping through pages looking for the main reverb parameter, or delay parameter you may wish to change

just as a side note "snapshots" will save all plugin parameters for quick recall, but requires you to build snapshots per project as i understand it?? they may have changed it?? *shrugs although there are workarounds for this

ah well, i forgot to mention that

the 2 groups of internal drumsounds - 1 is in midi mode "manual", and 1 is in midi mode "drumkit"

and i also tried the midi thru to play more groups the same time with the edrum, by using the same midi channel for midi(OUT or IN??? ah i never get it)

but thats not the answer i expected

i know cc mapping with midi learn in maschine works fine because of my beloved microkorg :)

but not in all that midi instruments, like edrum. maybe it dont accept sysex or so ?

and also it is not necessary to use a third tool for my interests.

i only would like to know if and how it could work. even if there is another way but with more work ( i mean that stuff about the 2 midi modes "drumkit/midikeys" is not necessary too )
