Traktor 4.4.2 update

Now after all the talks and discord live video, waiting patiently and we get basically nothing but a windows update and bug fixes. One Library, Cdj 3000x HID a flag ship cdj used in all clubs nad stages and we still waiting on it, phase HID, and so many other things , even if we had just one of them I would have been ok with that and thought “ok least it is something” but this is really sad and frustrating. @Jeremy_NI basically no progress at all. I feel like all that talk during the live was pointless and fruitless.
Normally I am rather tolerant and with Traktor updates but this is a sad state of affairs now.

Are you guys aware of the ongoing Traktor 4 problems that are frustrating the community? Looking at the recent updates, it's clear you're working on something, but with this latest version, I honestly don't see the point or who this is for. It doesn't address the main pain points.

If you check the list below you will find that this patch is almost completely about the audio device selection issues, a problem that has plagued many users (just check the past threads about it) and was important and probably not easy to fix.

Getting this done and publishing before taking on other tasks is the correct approach in my opinion. It may not be what you expected as the next patch, but you should consider it on it's own merits.

@SergeyDolgih yes we are very aware with the issues plaguing NI @Sûlherokhh i understand that but at least the cdj 3000 and cdj 3000x HID should and could have been implemented by now as that is a flag ship cdj and used now by many Traktor users in clubs and stages. It should have been a priority also, I don’t care for or can wait for all the other bells and whistles and such like stems and other things but having to go backwards and connecting old way in the clubs with time code cd or time code usb that now have cdj 3000 and cdj 3000x is a pain and really should have been sorted ages ago. Just as important as the audio updates in my opinion.

CDJ-3000 is there, albeit with bugs. It's the NI way.

There are more bugs which were reported in 2022, are still not fixed. See attached screenshot. Sorry, NI, but I don't know what to say any longer….bugs were reported, bugs have been confirmed by NI and still 3 years later they are not fixed? Seriously?

@lord-carlos yes 3000 is there but rather buggy, considering the 3000x is basically the same am sure it could have been easily implemented, I mean considering that these will be in most of the clubs it should have been done by now, I feel like I have gone back to 2015 when any of the venues I play have the new 3000 or 3000x as I have to go back to time code.🤣

The focus with this bugfix version was on fixing long standing bugs, not to introduce new features. That's for an upcoming 4.5. If that version will support the 3000X, i don't know. There are currently more imported issues which need fixing. The 3000X is hardly available and clubs with the previous 3000 will not upgrade anytime soon i think.

I consider this the Z1MK2/MX2 maintainance update, nothing more, nothing less. Most of the bugs where newly introduced with NI's most visible and current products and they where imho rightfully the focus. The next cycle will have more space for other fixes. But, seeing MX4 and OneLibrary on the horizon, once they drop there will probably be another maintainance update squeezed in.

Edit: I get being disappointed by longstanding bugs getting addressed so sparingly. I really do. We are sitting in that selfsame boat. I recommend to everyone to lower your expectations to a realistic level. This is not me being condescending, just my experience speaking. And just found this to be a more healthy and enjoyable attitude and want to share it in a friendly and informative way.

Has anyone elses 4.4.2 update deleted their traktor shortcuts from the desktop and browser bar?

Failed to update multiple times and wont even reinstall?

I can start Traktor 4.4.1.22 from the .exe in the 'backup' folder within 'Native instruments' folder within 'program files'… but cannot update from the newest Native access of which I re installed also, just in case…..

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated,

I updated the new version of 4.4.2 and suddenly today I can't even start the program, its crashing whenever I start the Traktor pro 4,In meanwhile i reinstall the Traktor but is not helping,any suggestions what to do?

Can you try opening Traktor without wifi / internet? At least a few weeks ago there was a bug with beatport, even if you did not use it, that resulted in crashing on startup when it had internet connection. Not sure if NI fixed this.

Not sure what country you in , but over here around 90% of the venues have either 3000 or 3000x cdj, now considering we have had HID on previous models which at the time where flag ships like the cdj 2000 nxs2 where HID ran flawlessly and considering some big name artists still use cdj’s and all of those will be 3000 or 3000x which is now standard at most big festivals. Having a broken 3000 hid at the moment and no 3000x support I think that’s a rather big issue just as big as some of the bugs. If one has to regress backwards and use time coded cd’s again or time coded usb just to play on the flag ship cdj that Traktor have always had HID support for is an issue. So I stand by my statement that this should also at least have been addressed as a bug fix and not an addition. At least the 3000 Hid mode which is buggy should by now have been sorted.
not like we can tell the clubs or venues “sorry switchback and downgrade your cdj’s” I get this may not be important to controller dj’s who don’t play in clubs but for those many dj’s who play in clubs or festivals where controllers are not even an option or even allowed. Now you understand my point?

Thanks @lord-carlos for solving the problem.I turn off the wifi and its work. I hope they will solve also this bug or problem however is called.
