Hi,
Is it possible to boot the X1 to a predefined setup as apposed to the default deck A B, effects 1 2 ?
Thanks.
All settings (as opposed to states) will be saved the next time you connect the device or start traktor, as long as you keep the mapping file inside the controller manager. As soon as you delete the TSI, your settings will be reset (including colour settings and related stuff).
Thanks for information..
With that in mind, am I right in thinking it shouldn't default to device setup every time I turn it on ?
Found this and it answered my question, its the norm.

Indeed. But the deck combo and FX combo you selected previously should still be displayed correctly from last time. A single encoder press will exit the setup quickly.
I see, unfortunately mine doesn't retain that information. I've been manually changing it since I've owned it. hence the original question.
What I've discovered now is they ( I have two ) retain the information when power cycled but the moment I close Traktor, they return to default ( A/B etc)
Just for reference I have them C / A, effect 3 / 1 - B /D, Effect 2 / 4 They retain all this info while Traktor is running
I've found the original TSI and it looks current ( created today)
Am I missing a setting that I might have been changed ?
Thanks
No, you aren't missing anything.
I just checked the stock files, and i can confirm that deck combo and FX combo are only temporary states. My mistake was that i am completely used to using a set of modified files for the X1MK3 and S4MK3.
…
The community performance mod for the X1MK3 i developed over the last couple of years (link in my signature, also a direct link to the thread on the main Traktor subpage) doesn't use temporary states but permanent settings.
You can check it out and see if this may be something for you. The description of the mod does not mention my conversion of several temporary states into settings that will be saved after each session. I apologize for this oversight.
