I have a Traktor LE 2 license which has always worked perfectly on my Windows 8.1 system ever since I activated it years ago through Service Center.
Important note: I have a physical copy of the installer on an original CD.
I recently formatted the system and wanted to reinstall Traktor LE 2, so I tried to install Native Access 2 (in which I have already activated my Traktor LE 2 license on my Windows 11 computer), which of course doesn't install properly on Windows 8.1. Here is everything I have tried so far (and no, upgrading the OS isn't an option here):
- Downloading Traktor through the latest Native Access version: Native Access doesn't install properly;
- Downloading Traktor through Native Access 1.14.1 (which is compatible with Windows 8.1): Native Access installs and runs, but no connection to server (yes, I have already tried changing my proxy settings);
- Downloading Traktor through the installation disc then using Service Center to activate it: everything installs and runs, but no connection to Service Center server;
- Downloading Traktor through the installation disc then using Service Center to do the offline activation procedure using my Windows 11 computer: everything installs and runs, the activation request fine is created, but I can't activate it because offline activation was discontinued in 2017.
I know the program works on this OS (it was literally made for Windows 7 and it says it's compatible with Windows 8.1, plus it has always worked perfectly), but I can't find a way to activate it through Service Center or run any version of Native Access.
The only thing that I think could work is if I installed Traktor LE 2 on my Windows 11 system, on which the program activates and runs just fine being downloaded through Native Access, and then somehow transferred the activated program on the Windows 8.1 system.
Does anyone have any experience with this? I can't find anything on Traktor LE 2 on this forum except from a single question about MacOS.
