Traktor S4 MK3 controller turns off and back on sporadically

Hey everyone,

I’m hoping to get some insight from other S4 MK3 users to see if this is a known issue or something others have dealt with.

For about the past year, my Traktor Kontrol S4 MK3 has been shutting off and then powering back on sporadically during use. Unfortunately, the problem has progressively gotten worse over time.

What’s happening:

The controller suddenly loses power
It then reboots on its own
This happens mid-session, not just at startup
It’s becoming more frequent and unpredictable

This makes the unit unreliable for longer sessions and obviously not usable in performance situations. I’ve ruled out basic things like cables and obvious setup issues, so I’m starting to suspect either an internal power issue, known hardware fault, or component degradation.

I wanted to ask the community:

Has anyone else experienced random power cycling with the S4?
If so, was it traced to a specific cause (power supply, USB, internal board, etc.)?
Were you able to fix or mitigate it, or did it require repair or replacement?
Is this a known issue with certain S4 revisions?

Any real-world experiences, fixes, or even confirmation that others have seen this would be hugely appreciated before I pursue deeper repair or escalation.
