Have a new Euphonia mixer. Hoped it worked out of the box like my Rane MP2015. It doesn't. I use it with an X1. EQs and Trim mappings are wrong. Afraid to play around with it and mess up the X1 mapping. Any advice?
What's wrong? X1 mixer overlay mapping? Euphonia mapping (i don't know that mixer or if you can map it at all)?
What is supposed to be mapped and where? What does it do instead?
It is a midi mixer according to AT document as follow - https://www.pioneerdj.com/-/media/pioneerdj/software-info/mixer/euphonia/euphonia_midi_message_list_e10.pdf This means you can map it freely to Traktor. Serato and BR have factory mappings for this mixer but Traktor doesn't.
X1 is a different protocol and wouldn't have any affect on your midi commands.
Isn't it just an external mixer with an audio interface? No need to map anything, just select it in Traktor Preferences and assign the right channels.
Hi Stevan, Thanks. This is the situation. The midi message list for the Euphonia seems to be wrong. For instance, if I map the CH1 Mid knob, (should be C4, right?), it moves the CH2 Hi knob (which should be C3, right?
Do you have any advice?
Use the LEARN function. Press the button, it turns orange, turn the knob, the MIDI signal from the mixer should be recognized (whatever it actually is).
Thanks. Yes, in theory. Except it doesn't. I can get one knob to map. For example, CH1/ Hi adjust. Just as you say. Then, when I go to map CH1/Mid Adjust, the knob on CH1 moves the knob on CH2/Hi Adjust. It's frustrating. I keep thinking I am missing something, but don't know what it is. I tried putting in different values based on the only map that works which is CH1/Hi Adjust. It is screwy.
I must admit, your description is not enough for me to even understand what is going wrong, let alone give you a tip. Could you elaborate or show via video?

Are you sure that there is only a single device assigned to euphonia? When Learn is on then the signal shouldn't reach the controls.
Thanks, Stevan. Nothing is attached to the Euphonia except my MacBook Pro M3 running Tahoe and Traktor 4. I don't know how to check that. Your point is well taken. It feels like something else is overriding the mapping.
Please check if you have more than one mapping file attached to your device. Make a screenshot of Preferences→Controller Manager page with the device dropdown menu (top downward triangle) opened up.
Good news. I solved it. I had the option of 2 Generic Midi templates in the pull down. I used the other one and it had the assignments for EQ that I was looking for built in. 2 of them were wrong and using the same knob. "Learn" worked as it should. I deleted the incorrect assignments and relearned. Thank you for all your help.
What is it you want to map on the mixer? It should not need anything, unless you want to do something special?
