Terrible that the PRESET UP/DOWN don't generate unique sysex message in MIDI mode

I'm using an M32 and A61 to control third party software - or even NI instruments like REAKTOR outside of Komplete Kontrol. I'm using reaper with reaKontrol. All the controllers on my M32 can be mapped because they spit out midi data. But the PRESET up/down buttons generate the EXACT SAME sysex messages, so they cannot be converted to unique CC data to generate PRESET UP/DOWN cc messages.

Why in the world wouldn't UP/DOWN generate unique messages? It's crazy. Is it possible that there is a problem in realkontrol? I kind of doubt it, since you can add custom mappings for all of the controllers and footswitch using Komplete Kontrol, but NOT the PRESET UP/DOWN buttons. So you have to use the mouse to inc/dec presets.

Preset buttons along with other buttons such as the menu, encoder jog (on KK MK2/3) are not MIDI buttons, they only send data via the NI Host Integration service. Although it has been asked for these to be MIDI available buttons when not in host mode, no word if it is even possible, certainly no hint it will ever be a thing so don't count on them being useable in MIDI Mode.
