Update problem with Komplete Kontrol S49 MK3

Hello

Following the purchase of a Komplete Kontrol S49 Mk3 keyboard in December 2025, the keyboard required an update before first use, but crashes and cannot be restarted for use.

Does anyone have a solution, please?

About your problem, please let us know if this update you mentioned is a driver update, or a firmware update?

What cable you using , how is it connected to the computer, usbc or usb a ,

have you got another usbc cable ?
when the update fails , what happens, does it give you the failure msg ? , when it fails , leave it powered on , and it should eventually re- connect itself to the updater , 10-15 min

For me on my mac , replacing the usbc cable fixed the issue (60w master plug cable )

Please define "but crashes and cannot be restarted for use" by describing mores specifically , eventually also attach picture of keyboard screen…

Hello,

Following my issue, I am attaching photos to illustrate my problem:

My Native Kontrol S49 MK3 keyboard is connected with a USB-C cable to a PC running Windows 11 Pro 25H2.

Keyboard update utility “KMK3DeviceUpdater2.0.7_WIN”

Error message from this utility:

State of my keyboard:

That's it, since then I haven't been able to do anything with this new keyboard.

after the white screen , if you leave it for 15min does it restart , allowing you to try again

Or do you have to switch it off , to re attempt update
is it the stock cable , have you tried another cable ,

or have you tried powering the unit from the usb power socket , and using a usbc to usbA cable

my issue was definitely sorted , by switching the usbc cable

But NI have reported that some computer usbc ports have an issue , and it’s best to use usb a and a usb hub
