I tried to run my old S4 controller on a Macbook running Traktor pro 3, And when i turned on the S4 it lit up and the light turned off. It will not recognize it. Then I broke out an old Macbook that used to run my Z2 and S4 and it worked. How can I get it to work on my new macbook

Traktor Kontrol S4 Mk1 is NOT class compliant. It requires special drivers to work on macOS. These are not available for macOS versions beyond 10.11.

I have read some reports about folks extracting these drivers from installation packages manually and made them work that way. But I don‘t have a link or recall that steps from memory. Still not sure if it was on new Apple Silicon machines or on Intel Macs.

I suggest to use your old MacBook with it.
