An update from Nick Williams, CEO of Native Instruments
I will continuously update this post as we learn more.
As per Jeremy_NI's post:
Any further updates will be shared through our official channels when appropriate.
Doesn't look to good ,does it ? The writing was on the wall , and this my dear friends is the end I guess .

Wow. Not sure what to think here. Big news for sure…
VP
The page on the site that you refer to refers itself to this "According to insolvency documents" , the problem is that if you look at the site that they refer to then there is no Native Instruments to find…
So until someone provide me of some real proof other than some might be malignant rumor then I am not sure if it should be trusted !
.
Perhaps a bit naive to ask but : @Jeremy_NI do you have any comment to this rumor of NI insolvency ?
I can't read German but this looks like the real thing…
Very sad.
That said - we should try and keep this to a single thread.
This is already the second one - with probably more to come….
Agree, though I just wanted to create a more proper one in the (hopefully) correct forum space.
You can throw the image a ChatGPT and it translates it to :
Two insolvency-related entries were found, both dated 27 Jan 2026, both handled by the Charlottenburg District Court (Berlin):
So it looks pretty legitimate as opposed to a 'malignant rumour'
Darn , it appears as if you are right (I stand corrected)( Sorry about that : I did not know how use the WildCard and only searched for Native)
So yes , here they are :
Berlin, HRB 72458 :
Berlin, HRB 225514 :
Also found this: https://ec.europa.eu/commission/presscorner/detail/en/mex_25_2950 Search for Native Instruments.
Probably this was the preliminary step, and they are making the purchase solely to break it up and sell the assets.
Aside from all the users like me who rely heavily on Reaktor and Kontakt, I know of some very good people running small single developer businesses based on selling Kontakt instruments.
Hopefully even if this means the end of NI, it is not the end of Kontakt, at least (and if I can have a little more hope, Reaktor somehow goes on as well).
Scary times. As a Kontakt users and Komplete Kontrol + Komplete bundle owner (also own Maschine MK3), I am deep into the eco system. A lot of users are.
Kontakt is critical for composers and advance producers (heavily integrated in many composer templates) so I wonder what will happen here and there isn't that many options currently which can fully replace it.
Thank you :

Commission clears acquisition of Native Instruments Group by Bridgepoint and Bain Capital Credit
The European Commission has approved, under the EU Merger Regulation, the acquisition of joint control of Native Instruments Group GmbH of Germany by Bridgepoint Group Holdings Limited (‘Bridgepoint') of the UK and Bain Capital Credit L.P. of the US.
The transaction relates primarily to the market for software and hardware tools for music production.
The Commission concluded that the notified transaction would not raise competition concerns, given that the companies are not active in the same or vertically related markets. The notified transaction was examined under the simplified merger review procedure.
More information is available on the Commission's competition website, in the public case register under the case number M.12232.
So perhaps a purely 'technical' insolvency (?)
Correct me when wrong But doesn't the eula state when a company goes bankrupt , the end user has the right to keep an install file ? I really hope we get a permanent install file for reaktor without the use of native acces
Dear Apple.. please get out your checkbook.
AAAARRRGGGHHH!!!
Not in Germany it doesn't - is what I understand.
I wouldn't be banking on getting anything at this point. It's early days - like real early.
