Global Setting Midi Devices

Hello everyone, I hope you’re having a great evening.

I have a question regarding Maschine Plus and external MIDI controllers. I’m trying to use my BeatStep Pro connected via USB-A as a controller for Maschine Plus. I set the BeatStep Pro as the MIDI In and Out device in the global settings. However, every time I restart Maschine Plus, it reverts back to the default internal MIDI ports.

Is this normal? Shouldn’t Maschine Plus remember my selected MIDI devices automatically, so I don’t have to set them again every time I power it on?

I believe stuff like that would be stored as part of your project - so if you made a project (call it Beatstep Pro?) and have it load when you turn on your M+ it would have everything set.
