Absynth 6 Audio Units fail Logic Pro Validation

I was so pumped to get Absynth 6 as It was one of my favorite synths 15 years ago. Thought I'd try the demo to be sure, but the Audio Units fail Logic Pro's plugin validation and it is unusable. Is it Apple Silicon chips that they don't support? Please somebody help!!

It is supported - try rescanning it individually in the aumanager

Okay, so I finally got this working. It seems that on MacOS, you need to have Native Access installed otherwise the demo of Absynth 6 will crash on startup, and will fail plugin validation within Logic Pro.

I don’t see documentation anywhere that references this. Would have been good to know a month ago…

This almost always works for me when plugins that should work don't scan properly. Failing that, restarting the computer and doing the same, that usually catches what simply rescanning doesnt.

When it comes to updates not scanning or working properly then using Logic's Plugin Manager to delete the cache, relaunching and rescanning if necessary will likely fix any issues there.

Rescanning/deleting cache/restarting does nothing to correct this issue. Even the native app crashes immediately

That’s odd your system is pretty much the same as mine and I have neither of those issues. Must be something specific to your setup, you probably should contact support so they can look at this in more detail with you

There is something not OK with Logic's validation. I have a Korg Triton plugin on an older system which does not validate in Logic, but works perfectly well as an AU plugin in LIVE! The same with dexed, no validation in Logic, perfectly OK in LIVE!

@mnty If Absynth 6 is crashing in standalone, it will fail the AU validation.

@mnty Oh, thanks for the update. I don't think this was expected, we'll investigate and either fix it or include a link to Native Access and the need for it.

We're really sorry about this, and not figuring this out before, thanks for reporting it. We hope you'll still like Absynth 6!

I would never have thought of that, I assumed you couldn't install Absynth or any NI product these days without Native Access
