S61 transfer of hardware woes

I’ve just purchased an S61 Mk2 secondhand from facebook marketplace ...the chap I purchased it from could find the transfer id for the S61 in his account (he purchased it used of someone), so he simply handed me his NI ID account details (as he doesn’t want/need anymore) ...I don’t see any hardware ID for the S61 in there

I have my own NI account

I’d like to transfer of the S61 hardware serial number over to my own NI ID account …so I have ownership within there, but given that the S61 isn’t even in the account he has handed me, how do I proceed?

This sounds plain wrong and you need to clear that with N.I. also (see link posted by mykejb in the above)

This sounds as if the person never got the hardware transferred themself in the first place or worse.. You definitely need to clear it all with N.I. Support.

Thanks, I've raised a support ticket - hopefully someone at NI can sort this out for me.

incidentally, what are the ramifications of not having the hardware added to my NI account?

Will the S61 Mk2 keyboard still work with the Komplete Kontrol library suite?

Just to give some closure here, the issue was indeed the guy I purchased from had not obtained the transfer ID from the guy he bought off, meaning NI had to message that person (two owners in the past) with the S61 Mk2 serial number still registered in his NI account - whilst I can't be 100% sure, I'm figuring that he replied (to say he'd sold the keyboard) …. & NI have thankfully now moved the serial number over to my NI account - so I have ownership within there.
