1st of all thank for the opportunity and this forum. My question in regards to the updates. NI and Traktor are superb btw and I think Traktor is fantastic and I'm sure your loyal users will agree. I don't know why it's been ignored but many users of your platform have been begging for an updated battle mixer, the successor to the famous Z2 battle mixer, and if not, can you collaborate with Rane, Pioneer and the like to provide us with usable .tsi file for use with this mixer and/or the current ones on the market? Same thing with controllers. I'm not referring to the beginner controllers announced either.

How about these too requested by Steve28:

• "HID integration for Phase and Phase Pro

• New battle mixer like a Z2 MK2, with full and direct access of stems, paddle for effects, more pads, better sound card and so on

Real-time stems separation and intelligent automatic flexible beatgridcontrollers either."

Additionally, the features in Traktor Pro are good but losing ground as compared to other DJ softwares on the market, no disrespect intended. I would be will to pay for .tsi to say the DJM S-11 if you would produce it. So, to say politely, are the people in your development office at NI concerned or don't care about reading your loyal users posts? I'm concerned who is looking out for the consumers over there?

NI strategy seems waiting for Apple to merge their OSs so you can play desktop apps into iPads but that path makes code dependent from Apple to implement and Apple implements the marvels first at iPads since it’s easier to scalate from there to desktop. There was a time where NI had people pursuing that path but not anymore. That path lead Djay Pro into what’s nowadays and it seems growing at the same time Traktor ungrows so maybe there’s a relation. I can’t affirm it as fact but the trends are there.

Also if Apple in that merge allow for better hardware driver development more suitable for regular NI roadmaps then new hardware could be possible with the usual integration NI was able to in the past but they (NI) seem more focused on “reset” the hardware line with MX controllers than forward-thinking… and Battlemixers seem not relevant for them since Traktor opened its dongle-based system. No new AudioXdj interface was released since long ago and probably Z2 will be a thing of the past too.

HID integration for Phase seems one of these things impossible without new Traktor. Traktor Play seems that possibility (like Traktor Dj2 was) but if it become that only time will tell…

In the meantime (that could be forever) you can do all of these with competition alternatives and only remix decks seems the “killer feature” but even that was broken in the latest versions so go figure.

Third party collab? Maybe it will be more possible to any brand buying Traktor but even that possibility was rumoured time ago and nothing come from that…

Traktor is different and let’s hope it survives to a day it becomes relevant again.
