ome time ago I reported an issue with the compatibility of my Traktor Kontrol S4 controller after switching to a newer MacBook Pro. Unfortunately, the controller did not work properly with the new machine, so after a few months I decided to bring my older computer—on which I had always prepared my DJ sets—back into working condition.
I installed macOS High Sierra on it, then reinstalled the controller drivers from the original installation disc included with the device, as well as Traktor Pro 2. The installation process completed without any issues; however, I am unable to launch the software. Each time I try to start it, I receive a message stating that the application is not optimized for this Mac, which prevents me from using it.
Additionally, I am unable to log in to my old account. Attempts to create a new account also fail, as they always end with the following error message:
“Server communication error: connection closed.”
I would like to ask what steps I can take in this situation to successfully run Traktor Pro 2 and resolve the account-related issues, or whether there is an alternative solution recommended for this specific hardware and system configuration.
