I try to update Maschine+ system version from 1.6.1.24 to 2.1.0 as listed here:

but my device says that no updates avaible.

You still need a Maschine 3 license to install the latest Maschine+ updates. The license applies to standalone too.
Yep, that's correct. The Maschine+ 2.x software for the standalone Maschine+ is the equivalent of Maschine 3 for the desktop, so you need a Maschine 3 licence.

Version 3 not yet. But now question about update from 1.6 to 2.1.
Of course I have license key for machine 2.
The latest Maschine+ version 2.x is actually Maschine 3, not Maschine 2 which makes no sense, but that's the way it is. You need a licence for Maschine 3 to install it.
I need to clarify that we are both talking about the NI software in Standalone mode? Not a machine software for windows.
