is it possible to use Traktor S4 Mk3 with something other than TraktorPro ?

hello everybody,

I´m so near to enrage: 2 days ago TraktorPro again erased 1/3 from my track collection although I only selected 2 tracks in the list

this time back-up from the day before helped a lot, but this was the last issue what deleted the confidence to TraktorPro and/or NI

so, is it possible to use Traktor S4 Mk3 with another DJ-software?

unfortuantely I´m healthy-retired since some years and can´t efford Pioneer set-up except the one for ~1050€-thing REV5, but don´t like it that much, so I´ve to save for the one wich runs without PC

would be nice to hear an answer and/or suggestion

the 2 named tools aren´t a really help, seems to be problem made in the surface by NI

I was afraid of that. Too bad, now I have to find someone who will give me something for the S4, but I'm afraid it will be a big loss. And after that, DJ hardware with DECENT software will come into my house.

And if you want to use it in VirtualDJ you'll need to pay for a license, the free version won't have access to the proper mapping.

The rev5 works with Serato and Rekordbox. I have one and love it, but I'm guessing you're not a scratch DJ  so you probably don't like the battle style layout

Virtual DJ and mixxx support it in limited capacity.
