S88 MK3 sustain pedal: can it keep its settings when I switch the keyboard on?

I installed a sustain pedal on my Kontrol S88 Mk3 keyboard and was able to adjust the setting as I wanted the pedal to behave.

Yet after I switch the keyboard off and on again (i.e. the next day) and depress the pedal, the sound is not sustained. I need to go back to the pedal settings menu to make it work again.

Is there a setting that can "save" the setting so that the pedal gets active again when I switch on the keyboard?

@Pierre D Sorry that I didn't pick this earlier. This is a known bug (KMK3-1005). There is no ETA yet but it's being looked into, I will try to get some more info to share.

Hello,

you just press "done" and it should be saved. At least that´s how it works with my S49 MK3.

sorry I clicked on Done already. For sure the setting is saved but for some reason the pedal does not come active upon switching the keyboard on, until I start loading the pedal menu again… without changing anything.

wow that´s a strange issue, if you change the knobs or buttons does it remember this? You could also try to export the mapping as file, check the file and re-upload it to the keyboard.

That's a strange issue indeed. A few things to check maybe.

How is your keyboard connected to your computer? Do you use a usb hub, do you power the keyboard separately?

@Uwe303: why would I need to do that? If I change the buttons yes it keeps the setting when I save by clicking on the "Done" button

@Jeremy_NI: keyboard is connected directly to the MacStudio via a USB cable (the one that came with the S-88). No USB hub. There is a on/off button on the keyboard to switch it on. The computer is always switched on (I don't switch off at night). I installed the S-88 according to NI's instructions and everything works well. Both Native Access and NTKDaemon have full access to the hard disk. Do I have a local network?
