Traktor Pro 4 - Indication of track played in current session

In the old Pro 3 a tick appeared when a track was played in the current session. This then reset and disappeared when the session was ended. This was a great indication NOT to repeat the track unintentionally in the same session.

In Pro 4 I can get date last played and number of times ever played. Seeing as the date is YYYY/MM/DD it takes up much too much real estate on the screen, and is NOT easy to read in a hurry.

Is there a way to get the played this session tick back please?

Right Click on the current playlist column label row and select symbols to appear. Pull it from right hand side of the columns (where all new columns appear) to the first or second column position. Adjust the width so that all symbols have enough space to be show. The played-symbol will be the first (i think) to appear when active.

Also set the minimum played time to set the played-state to true in Preferences to your liking.

That's What I did . Right click and in the drop down menu you get the options to display the columns :-

Last Played and

Play Count

Last Played shows the DATE in YYYY/MM/DD format This takes up a lot of space in the line. Trying to make the column smaller hides the DD first then MM leaving the year YYYY - POINTLESS !!

Play Count shows the number of times the file has been accessed since it was loaded into Traktor. This could have been 4 years ago or last week. Some show 1 or 2 plays others show 30 or 40 plays. Again POINTLESS !!!

But I want to know if I have played the track in the Current Set only. Pro 3 had a Tick to show this, how can I see this in Pro 4???

Alternatively, how can I clear the Play Count history? So I only see the count for the current session?

By the way I'm an old guy (I've been DJing since 1970) and my memory isn't always up to scratch. I used to remember what vinyl tracks I played by moving the 12" single/album to a "Played" section in my crates. Easy NO REPETITION !

It's not the column 'last played', its the column 'symbols' or 'icons' or something. Try around. There is only a limited number available.

Ahhhh Sûlherokhh See this is what happens to an old guy reading your response in a cafe with lots of distractions around .

I went to the playlist title and right clicked that. Then in the drop down there is a tab "Reset Played-State" I clicked that and then played a track and after about 70 seconds the date changed to today's date - VOILA !!!

You misunderstood me a second time.

There is a column that has the name ICON. Select it to make it visible and move it to the left. It contains the PLAYED-TICK and looks like this:

I expanded the Icons column by resizing the column to the right and that's where the tick is…

I have checked, when I close Traktor down, the tick disappears.

This is part of my Funk / Soul Classics playlist 😀 Every track in my collection (2500+ tracks) has been converted into stems.

Now I'm waiting for the new replacement for the S3 controller… MX3 ??? maybe. Hopefully it'll be announced soon.

I don't think there will be an MX3. The MX4 will be the successor of both the S3 and S4 i imagine. ;)
