Had to reinstall windows

I had to reinstall windows. Long story short, registry got corrupted, no recovery images, etc.

I read somewhere that I can only install Komplete a total of 3 times, and this will be time number two. This time I want to make a recovery image for this PC after installation in case something like this happens again. My question is, what do I need to back up? Do i have to install everything? or just the Apps (kontakt, maschine, etc)?

There's no limit to the number of times you can install the product. The limit applies to the number of computers you can use. If you only use it on one computer, there's no issue.

Ok, so would reinstalling windows on the same PC count as a new computer? I know it does for windows product codes. Which part of the computer is considered the Computer? Is it the motherboard serial?

As I said, if it's only being installed on a single computer, you're fine. You could install it on two additional computers and still be OK.

We are not privy to the exact DRM information.

But as long as you do not abuse the license then usually your are OK.
